UNESCO (2020). Preliminary report on the first draft of the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence

At its 40th session in November 2019, UNESCO’s General Conference decided to prepare an international standard-setting instrument on the ethics of artificial intelligence, in the form of a recommendation.This is an essentiel engagement for our Organization, on a topic that not only constitutes a technological and economic revolution, but also a major anthropological disruption.Since the last General Conference, UNESCO has worked actively on this issue, by establishing a group of experts and launching wide-ranging consultations at ail levels. These efforts have resulted in this PreliminaryReport and draft Recommendation.
